FALMOUTH TOWN 3-0 CINDERFORD TOWN

Falmouth Town overcame our fellow Southern League Div1(S) opponents Cinderford Town in front of a large crowd this afternoon in their first FA Trophy game since 1981. Cinderford Town started strongly causing problems for the Falmouth defence. However, a first half goal against the run of play on the stroke of half-time by Luke Brabyn sent Falmouth in at the break at 1-0 up. A further goal from Rubin Wilson after a defensive slip made it 2-0 part way through the second half and another last-minute goal on 91 minutes from Oscar Massey, saw us into the next round. Falmouth Town bowed out of the 2024/25 FA Cup in a 4-1 defeat at Barnstaple Town on Saturday, August 17th, 2024. Town’s only goal came from an Oscar Massey penalty. We would like to wish Barnstaple Town the best of luck in the next round and for the rest of the season. Our attention now turns to the Southern League and the FA Trophy.

FALMOUTH TOWN – CORNWALL SENIOR CUP WINNERS

Falmouth Town emerged victorious in the Cornwall Senior Cup final at The Underlane yesterday afternoon, with a dramatic smash and grab raid in the final two minutes of extra time. Coming from behind twice, Falmouth Town beat AFC St Austell 3-2 in a closely contested game. Town’s goals came from Cameron Hutchinson, James Swan and Luke Barner. We would like to wish St Austell good luck in the Western League next season and thank you to Wendron United for the excellent job they did to host the final. Falmouth Town made history this afternoon by winning promotion to the Southern Football League with a 2-0 win over a competitive Clevedon Town in the Western League Playoff Final at Bickland Park. Falmouth Town took a big step towards promotion to the Southern League tonight with a stunning 3-1 victory over Barnstaple Town at Bickland Park. Falmouth Town’s goals came from Luke Brabyn, Oscar Massey and Rubin Wilson. Our Man of the Match award goes to Tom Annear. Credit must go to Barnstaple Town who provided competitive opposition. The result means we will now play Clevedon Town in the playoff final on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 – K.O. 3:00pm at Bickland Park. We can expect another exciting encounter between two of the Western League’s top clubs.

FALMOUTH TOWN 1-0 OLDLAND ABBOTONIANS

Falmouth Town finished our second Toolstation Western League season with a 1-0 win over Oldland Abbotonians at Bickland Park this afternoon. The only goal came from an Oscar Massey penalty in the final minutes of injury time. Oscar Massey was also awarded Man of the Match. This confirms our runners up place with 76 points from 34 games. We now look forward to the playoffs, with our semi final game against Barnstaple Town on Tuesday, April 30th – K.O. 7:45pm at Bickland Park. We are now just two games from promotion to the Southern League.
