BIDEFORD 1-2 FALMOUTH TOWN

Falmouth Town came back from 1-0 down to record a fantastic 2-1 away win over Bideford in our Southern League encounter at The Sports Ground this afternoon.

Bideford took the lead just before the break with a goal from Scott Robinson. Town were not to be beaten though and equalised through a Rubin Wilson penalty twenty-two minutes into the sesecod half. As both teams battled it out on the field, it was Luke Barner who scored Town’s second goal in the 87th minute. This proved sufficient to assure three points for Falmouth.

The first goal came after just six minutes, with Bideford’s Archie Reay finding the back of the net. Town fought back hard and it was Luke Barner who levelled the the score just before the break.

The second half started lively with both sides playing some good football. It was Oscar Massey who broke the deadlock with a strike on eighty minutes, which sent the home crowd into rapturous celebrations. However, there was one more twist when Bideford’s Aaron Taylor scored from close range into the corner of the net in the 87th minute.
