HELSTON ATHLETIC v FALMOUTH TOWN – POSTPONED

Unfortunately, Falmouth Town’s match at Kellaway Parc on Friday. March 29th has been postponed due to the effects of the recent weather. We’re naturally disappointed not to be playing Helston Athletic and we’ll publish the new date for the rearranged fixture as soon as we know it.

THIS FIXTURE HAS NOW BEEN REARRANGED TO TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY, APRIL 18th, 2024 – K.O. 7:45pm.

However, all is not lost for the Easter weekend, we still have Welton Rovers v Falmouth Town in the Western League on Monday, April 1st – K.O. 3:00pm.

Falmouth Town will continue their quest in the Western League title challenge, when we take on the current leaders Helston Athletic at Kellaway Parc on Good Friday, March 29th, 2024 – K.O. 3:00pm. We go into this game on the back of our recent wins over Street, Nailsea & Tickenham and Bridgwater United. Only six points seperate the two sides. We have 60 points from 26 games, while Helston have 66 points from 27 games. Both sides will be going for the win, so this promises to be an exciting encounter, and both sides have an impressive league record. The recent league form is shown below:

Falmouth Town take another step towards the top of the Western League as we beat Street 2-0 away this evening. Both goals came from Oscar Massey in the first half. Once inside Bickland Park, food and beverages can be purchased from the serving hatch immediately to your left upon entering the ground.

Toilets can be found inside the clubhouse and in the toilet block next to the main grandstand.

Seating is available in the grandstand, with disabled access provided via a separate entrance at the top of the steps alongside the back row.

Falmouth Town came away 4-1 winers over Bridgwater United today, as they bounced back from last week’s FA Vase exit at Great Wakering Rovers. Town’s goals were scored by Oscar Massey, Luke Barner, Jared Sims and Rubin Wilson. The result leaves us third in the table behind Clevedon Town and Helston Athletic. Both teams have impressive league form and both enjoyed good runs in the FA Vase. FALMOUTH TOWN v NEWQUAY IN TONIGHT’S CORNWALL SENIOR CUP SEMI FINAL HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO A WATERLOGGED PITCH. WE WILL PUBLISH THE NEW DATE FOR THIS FIXTURE AS SOON AS WE KNOW THE DETAILS.

Falmouth Town will be back in action when we face Newquay in the Ward Williams Cornwall Senior Cup semi final at Blaise Park on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 – K.O. 7:30pm. We will looking to bounce back from our FA Vase defeat last Saturday at Great Wakering Rovers. Our journey to the semi final has seen us with wins over Wendron United, Torpoint Athletic and St Blazey. Newquay had a bye in the first round, while they had wins over Truro City Reserves and Bodmin Town in the next two rounds. This promises to be an exciting contest between a Step 5 team and a Step 6 team, who are both currently fourth in their respective leagues.
