FALMOUTH TOWN 1-1 BRISTOL MANOR FARM
Falmouth Town gained a hard earned point this afternoon against a well organised Bristol Manor Farm. Town opened with some early pressure on the visitors goal, but were unable to find the back of the net. However, on twenty-four minutes Oliver Evans broke the deadlock with a superb strike. What a way to mark his first start in the Southern League team, at just sixteen years old. After some competitive end to end play, the first half finished 1-0 to Town.
The second half began with both sides battling hard, which lead to Bristol Manor Farm putting the Town goal under pressure. Ten minutes in, Owen Howe picked up a loose ball and hammered home to make it 1-1. With both sides now trying to find the winning goal, Rubin Wilson was brought down on the edge of the vistors box by Bristol’s goalkeeper Louis Smith, for which he was shown a red card. Despite being down to ten men, Bristol Manor Farm held on for the remaining twenty minutes and the points were shared.
We now look forward to our Easter Monday trip to Mousehole.
