MOUSEHOLE 3-1 FALMOUTH TOWN

Falmouth Town bowed out of the 2024/25 Isuzu FA Trophy after a 3-1 defeat today, at fellow Southern League side Mousehole. The only Town goal came from Cam Hutchison in the fourth minute. Despite some great football, Mousehole gained the upper hand and were worthy of their win. We would like to wish them the best of luck in the next round. Falmouth Town will travel to local Southern League rivals Mousehole, in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 – K.O. 3:00pm. Mousehole successfully overcame Bashley 4-0 on Tuesday, September 17th. The original fixture, which Mousehole lost 7-6 on penalties, was declared void by the FA.

We have played Mousehole many times over the years, both in the Western League and before that, in the South West Peninsula League. This will be our first encounter in Step 4 football. We advanced to this round with a 3-0 victory over Cinderford Town at Bickalnd Park on Saturday, September 7th. Our most recent league match saw us beat Thatcham Town 1-0 in a hard fought game.

Mousehole’s recent league form includes three wins over Evesham United, Cribbs & Malvern Town, with a 2-0 defeat at Helston Athletic.

This all Cornish encounter, which will ensure their is a Cornish side in the next round of the FA Trophy.
