LARKHALL ATHLETIC 2-3 FALMOUTH TOWN

Falmouth Town put in a battling performance to beat an inform Larkhall Athetic 3-2 in our Southern League clash, on a feezing night in Bath. On five minutes, Harrison Jewell was forced to make a goal line clearance to keep the score at 0-0. Town were not to be outdone and two goals from Luke Barner at seventeen and forty-five minutes, the second saw Luke tap the ball between the keeper’s legs, leaving him stranded, and then tap it into the net. An eventful first half saw us 2-0 ahead at the break.

With just ten minutes of the second half played, Harrison Jewell got his head to the ball, powering it into the Larkhall net. With the score now at 3-0, it was Larkhall who won a penalty on the hour mark. Up steps Larkhall’s Ryan Beckinsale to convert and make the score 3-1 to Town. With thirty minutes to go Larkhall threw everything at Town, forcing Morgan Coxhead to make some stunning saves. It was Lewis Graham, who on eighty-four minutes scored from a glancing header for Larkhall, making it 3-2 to Town. One minute later Harrison Jewell was forced into action again, to block a screamer of a shot. A nervous time for the travelling faithful was finally ended when the referee blew for fulltime at 90+7′.
