Falmouth Town will host Cinderford Town on Saturday, November 9th in our next Southern League fixture. Like us, Cinderford Town gained promotion to the Southern League last season, their route was through the Hellenic League play-offs after one season at Step 5.

We go into this game on the back of our recent win over Newquay in the Cornwall Senior Cup on Wednesday, November 6th, so we will be looking for another win on Saturday when we return to league action.

MATCH PREVIEW – SHAFTESBURY v FALMOUTH TOWN

Falmouth Town will travel to north Dorset when we take on Shaftesbury in the Southern League on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 – K.O. 3:00pm. Shaftesbury were promoted to the Southern League after fininshing 3rd in the the Wessex League and then winning the play-offs at the end of the 2023/24 season. Likewise, we were promoted to the Southern League as play-off winners, having finished runners up in the Western League last season.

This will be the first meeting of the two clubs since the extra preliminary round of the 2008/09 FA Vase competition. The game was drawn 2-2 at Shaftesbury, with Town winning the the replay 4-2 at Bickland Park. Shaftesbury’s ground is called The Cockrams and features a 3G pitch. Shaftesbury are currently in 16th place in the league table with six points from eight games, while we are in 10th position with ten points from six games. This season’s title race is hotting up as Falmouth Town take on Clevedon Town, when third plays second at Bickland Park on Saturday April 6th – K.O. 3:00pm. We go into this game on the back of our fantastic 8-2 win away at Welton Rovers on Easter Monday. Clevedon come to this game having beaten Bridgwater United 1-0 at home in their Easter Monday match. We have 63 points from 27 games, while Clevedon Town have 65 points from 29 games, so this promises to be a really exciting contest between two of the Toolstation Western League’s top sides and certainly not a game to be missed. All roads lead to Bickland Park!

50:50 Draw:

A collection for the 50:50 draw will be made during the first half, with the winning ticket announced over the PA system at half-time. Each entry to the draw costs £1.

Refreshments and Facilities:

Once inside Bickland Park, food and beverages can be purchased from the serving hatch immediately to your left upon entering the ground.

Toilets can be found inside the clubhouse and in the toilet block next to the main grandstand.

Seating is available in the grandstand, with disabled access provided via a separate entrance at the top of the steps alongside the back row.
