Falmouth Town will be back in league action on Saturday, March 16th, when we travel to Bridgwater United in this promotion chasing top of the table contest. Both teams have impressive league form and both enjoyed good runs in the FA Vase. Falmouth Town reached the last eight of the competition, while Bridgwater United achieved a place in the last sixteen. Bridgwater are currently third in the league with 52 points from 24 games, while Falmouth Town are in fourth place with 51 points from 23 games. Bridgwater United won their away match at Bickland Park in January 1-0, with Town having a goal disallowed. This promises to be an exciting contest between these great two sides.

FALMOUTH TOWN v NEWQUAY IN TONIGHT’S CORNWALL SENIOR CUP SEMI FINAL HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO A WATERLOGGED PITCH. WE WILL PUBLISH THE NEW DATE FOR THIS FIXTURE AS SOON AS WE KNOW THE DETAILS.

Falmouth Town will be back in action when we face Newquay in the Ward Williams Cornwall Senior Cup semi final at Blaise Park on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 – K.O. 7:30pm. We will looking to bounce back from our FA Vase defeat last Saturday at Great Wakering Rovers. Our journey to the semi final has seen us with wins over Wendron United, Torpoint Athletic and St Blazey. Newquay had a bye in the first round, while they had wins over Truro City Reserves and Bodmin Town in the next two rounds. This promises to be an exciting contest between a Step 5 team and a Step 6 team, who are both currently fourth in their respective leagues.

Although Great Wakering Rovers’ recent results in the Essex Senior League have included a 3-0 win over Buckhurst Hill (February 20th) and a 1-0 defeat to top of the league Tilbury (February 27th), their FA Vase journey has been equally impressive with wins over

We are currently third in the Western League Premier Division, while Great Wakering Rovers are ninth in the Essex Senior League. Great Wakering Rovers have played in both the Southern League and the Isthmian League (Step 4), so we can expect a very competitive game. We last reached the Quarter Finals in the 1986/87 FA Vase when we lost in a replay 1-0 at St Helens. Great Wakering Rovers have reached the FA Vase Quarter Finals twice, losing to both Potters Bar Town 1-0 in 1997/98 and AFC Sudbury in 2001/02.

Falmouth Town will continue to focus on our league title challenge when we welcome Buckland Athletic to Bickland Park on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024 – K.O. 7:45pm. We go into this game one week on from our 3-1 victory over Torpoint Athletic last Tuesday, as our game at Wellington on Saturday as postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. We are currently third in the Western League Premier Divison with 48 points from 22 games. Buckland Athletic are currently in fifth position with 44 points from 25 games. Saturday, February 10th, 2024 will see Falmouth Town playing FA Vase football against Jersey Bulls in the Channel Islands. The prize for the winners is a place in the Quarter Final draw. We go into this game on the back of our win over Millbrook on Tuesday. We are fourth in the league with 45 points from 21 games. Jersey Bulls play in the Combined Counties League and are currently in third place with 47 points from 23 games. A large number of Falmouth Town supporters are making the journey to Jersey to cheer the team on.
