Falmouth Town continue our league title challenge when we travel to Oldland Abbotonians in South Gloucestershire on Saturday, April 13th – K.O. 3:00pm. We go into this fixture on the back of our recent wins over Wellington (A), Clevedon Town (H) and Welton Rovers (A). On Thursday, April 11th, Oldland were involved in a 3-3 draw home to Wellington. This is the first time we will play Oldland Abbotonians this season. We are currently second in the Toolstation Western League, behind leaders Helston Athletic on goal difference.

This season’s title race is hotting up as Falmouth Town take on Clevedon Town, when third plays second at Bickland Park on Saturday April 6th – K.O. 3:00pm. We go into this game on the back of our fantastic 8-2 win away at Welton Rovers on Easter Monday. Clevedon come to this game having beaten Bridgwater United 1-0 at home in their Easter Monday match. We have 63 points from 27 games, while Clevedon Town have 65 points from 29 games, so this promises to be a really exciting contest between two of the Toolstation Western League’s top sides and certainly not a game to be missed. Unfortunately, Falmouth Town’s match at Kellaway Parc on Friday. March 29th has been postponed due to the effects of the recent weather. We’re naturally disappointed not to be playing Helston Athletic and we’ll publish the new date for the rearranged fixture as soon as we know it.

Falmouth Town will be back in league action on Saturday, March 16th, when we travel to Bridgwater United in this promotion chasing top of the table contest. Both teams have impressive league form and both enjoyed good runs in the FA Vase. Falmouth Town reached the last eight of the competition, while Bridgwater United achieved a place in the last sixteen. Bridgwater are currently third in the league with 52 points from 24 games, while Falmouth Town are in fourth place with 51 points from 23 games.
